About
The Author
Alexis McGuire is a 23-year-old author based in Orlando, Florida, originally from Smithville, Missouri, where her passion for storytelling first began. Encouraged early on by both her third-grade teacher and later her high school creative writing instructor, Alexis developed a strong foundation in writing that would continue to shape her creative path.
She published her first book, My Emotions Today, at just 12 years old, followed by her second work, I Am Healing, at 16. These early projects reflected her ability to channel personal insight and emotion into compelling written work. As her writing evolved, Alexis gained notable attention online through her Harry Potter-inspired spin-off stories on Wattpad, where she built a dedicated following and expanded her presence across social media platforms.

That growing audience and creative momentum ultimately led to the development of her latest project, Blueblood, a work that marks a new chapter in her writing journey. With a strong foundation already behind her and a clear vision for the future, Alexis continues to write with the intention of exploring new ideas, pushing creative boundaries, and connecting with readers on a deeper level. For her, this is only the beginning.

Outside of writing, she works as a bartender, where long nights and constant people-watching often inspire the characters and dynamics in her stories. When she’s not working or writing, she’s usually spending time with her two cats, August and Meg, who have become a constant (and occasionally chaotic) presence in her daily life.

She’s a frequent visitor to Universal Studios, drawn especially to the world of Harry Potter, and has a strong appreciation for immersive storytelling in all forms. A dedicated fan of Christopher Nolan’s films, she’s particularly influenced by complex narratives, psychological tension, and stories that challenge perception—elements that often find their way into her own work.
